The most common mistake we see with inflatable pool slides is not build quality — it is buying the wrong size. A slide that overhangs the coping, crowds a walkway, or lands riders too close to a wall stops getting used by about week three. Sizing is the whole game.
Start with the landing zone, not the slide
Measure the clear water you have in front of where the slide will sit. You want an unobstructed landing area with no steps, ladders, swim-outs, or benches in the path. Then measure the deck footprint behind the pool edge, because that is where the slide body and its anchoring actually live.
The three sizes, in plain terms
- Minima 1.8 m — the kid-focused option. Best for smaller inground pools, above-ground pools with a deck, and households where the primary users are younger children. Lowest deck footprint of the three.
- Mikros 2 m — the middle ground, and the one most families land on. It suits a standard suburban inground pool and still works for teenagers and adults.
- Megalo 3 m — the full-size unit. It needs real deck space and real water in front of it, and it rewards you with a genuine adult-capable ride.
Check the height, not just the length
Slide length gets quoted, but entry height determines how much water depth you want underneath. Deeper is safer. If your pool has a shallow end that shelves quickly, put the slide at the deeper side even if the deck is tighter there.
Anchoring and inflation
Every one of these is a tethered product — it is not meant to float free. Plan for anchor points before the first use, and budget a couple of minutes for inflation with a proper pump rather than a camping compressor.
