The Year 12 students of Freshwater Christian College in Cairns are no strangers to challenge—and this year, they’ve taken it to the next level by participating in one of Far North Queensland’s most iconic endurance events: The Great Wheelbarrow Race.
This legendary multi-day race from Mareeba to Chillagoe is more than just a test of strength and stamina—it's a rite of passage, a community celebration, and for the students of Freshwater Christian College, a powerful team-building experience.
As the students pushed their wheelbarrow through the rugged terrain and scorching North Queensland heat, recovery became a key part of their success. That’s where Crocpad stepped in to lend a cool helping hand.
Crocpad, known for its innovative portable ice bath solutions, proudly sponsored the Freshwater team by providing portable recovery stations throughout the event. These inflatable ice baths offered a crucial opportunity for the students to rest, reduce muscle soreness, and stay in peak condition over the course of the demanding race.
